Except the wait starts on day one of playing MelvorIdle, and there’s no sense of progress. Everything else is “click this button, AFK for 6-18 hours for you to have enough of this resource while your plants grow.” It’s like reaching end-game in Adventure Capitalist when you’re waiting around for a day to get enough money to prestige again… you know, the part of idle games where most people quit. And even that gets 100% automated once you’ve got a monster or dungeon on AFK farm and the Auto-Eat skill. ![]() The only player-active interaction in the entire game is consuming food during combat. I gave MelvorIdle a try and found it incredibly boring. Like I said it's fine and I'll continue to play it, but it's far from my favorite. I would have much preferred if Bane and the like were fully idle-able somehow. wasn't particularly interesting gameplay. Having to babysit and spam eat for certain attacks just. I also found the endgame dungeons really tedious. Ok, now move on to the air dungeon, and spend a few more days doing nothing. Getting set up to be able to idle dungeons is interesting, but after that it's just, ok, idle the earth dungeon until I have all the drops, which takes a few days literally, and there's nothing else to do until I'm done there. I also don't find combat terribly interesting at all. come back tomorrow and start smithing runite axes. So much of the progression boils down to something like 'start mining runite ore. Not OP but - I played it, and will buy the DLC tomorrow and continue to play it, but it's far from my favorite idle game.
